Virginia High School Basketball - Giles ripped by George Wythe

The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 89 points and held the visiting Giles Spartans to 30 in the Maroons league triumph on Tuesday.
The Maroons now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Auburn for a Mountain Empire contest on Friday, January 20. George Wythe will meet a Eagles team coming off a 72-62 league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-3.
The Spartans (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils enter the Mountain Empire contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Grayson County triumphed over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 48-46, in a league contest.
