Georgia High School Basketball - Glenn Hills topped by Washington County

January 17, 2023: Augusta, GA 30906

The Washington County Golden Hawks basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the host Glenn Hills Spartans to 61 in the Golden Hawks league victory on Tuesday.

The Golden Hawks now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomson for a AA Region 4A contest on Friday, January 20. Washington County will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-53 league loss to Butler (Augusta, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-3.

The Spartans (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Augusta, GA). The Bulldogs come into the AA Region 4B contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Butler prevailed over Thomson (Thomson, GA), 54-53, in a league contest.

Congratulations to #3 Marquavion Cooper for being selected the Washington County Basketball Player of the Game.
