Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA), 78-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Monticello upgrades its record to 2-11 on the season. The Mustangs host Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA) to play the Warriors in a Jefferson bout on Friday, January 20. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Western Albemarle lost 60-53 in their recent league bout against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Friday, January 20. Goochland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 74-36 league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).
