Virginia High School Basketball - McLean tops Herndon

McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 54-41 in a league bout.
With the victory, McLean upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Highlanders host George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA) to play the Statesmen in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Statesmen come into the bout with a record of 12-1. George C. Marshall won 52-45 in their recent league bout against Langley (McLean, VA)
Next up, the Hornets play the Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) in a District 2 bout, on Friday, January 20. Herndon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Generals come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 55-43 league win over McLean (McLean, VA).
