Marysville Bulldogs (Marysville, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hiawatha Red Hawks (Hiawatha, KS), 49-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marysville upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host St. Marys (St. Marys, KS) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 6-4. St. Marys won 72-55 in their recent non-league bout against Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS)

Next up, the Red Hawks play the Sabetha Bluejays (Sabetha, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Hiawatha will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Bluejays go into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 57-40 non-league win over Paola (Paola, KS).
