Illinois High School Basketball - Highland can't hold off Marquette Catholic

The Marquette Catholic Explorers basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Highland Bulldogs to 48 in the Explorers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Explorers now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbia for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Marquette Catholic will battle a Eagles team coming off a 64-51 non-league win over Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 19-2.
The Bulldogs (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL). The Kahoks enter the non-league contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Collinsville was nudged by Lift for Life Academy (St. Louis, MO), 52-47, in a non-league contest.
