South Carolina High School Basketball - Hilton Head Island nudges May River

January 17, 2023: Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

In Tuesday's league outing, the Hilton Head Island Seahawks (Hilton Head Island, SC) basketball squad nipped the visiting May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC), by a margin of 43-38.

The Seahawks (4-9) will now prepare for their outing against James Island (Charleston, SC). The Trojans go into the AAAA Region 7 outing with a 12-6 record. In their last outing, James Island got by Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 56-54, in a league outing.

The Sharks now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Bluffton for a AAAA Region 7 outing on Friday, January 20. May River will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 55-53 league win over Colleton County (Walterboro, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-10.
