Wayzata Trojans (Plymouth, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN), 89-63 in a league bout.

With the victory, Wayzata upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Edina (Edina, MN) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Edina won 63-53 in their recent non-league bout against St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN)

Next up, the Royals play the Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Hopkins will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Skippers come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 80-73 non-league win over Brainerd (Brainerd, MN).
