Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Howell Rebels (Farmingdale, NJ), 58-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Manalapan upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Braves travel to Freehold Boro (Freehold, NJ) to play the Colonials in a Shore A - North bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Colonials go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Freehold Boro lost 47-43 in their recent non-league bout against Long Branch (Long Branch, NJ)

Next up, the Rebels play the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Howell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 74-50 non-league win over Pioneer Academy (Wayne, NJ).
