The Hoxie Mustangs basketball team (Hoxie, AR), was routed 74-31 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR)
The Greyhounds now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cave City for a 3A Region 2 battle on Saturday, January 21.
The Mustangs (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Bobcats come into the 3A Region 2 battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, Walnut Ridge trounced Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR), 69-65, in a non-league battle.
