Southfield Christian Eagles (Southfield, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Inter-City Baptist Chargers (Allen Park, MI), 47-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southfield Christian upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Parkway Christian (Sterling Heights, MI) to play the Eagles in a Michigan Independent - Blue bout on Friday, January 20. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Parkway Christian lost 71-52 in their recent league bout against Plymouth Christian Academy (Canton, MI)

Next up, the Chargers play the Clarenceville Trojans (Livonia, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Inter-City Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 67-49 non-league loss to Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI).
