In Tuesday's league outing, the Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA) basketball squad edged the host Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA), by a count of 62-56.

The Tigers (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Tri-County (Thornburg, IA). The Trojans go into the South Iowa Cedar outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Tri-County was tipped by English Valleys (North English, IA), 61-33, in a league outing.

The Savages now hold a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Keota for a South Iowa Cedar outing on Friday, January 20. Sigourney will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 68-56 league win over Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 13-5.
