In Tuesday's league outing, the Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Spur Bulldogs (Spur, TX), by a count of 68-33.
The Jaybirds (17-1) will now prepare for their outing against Paducah (Paducah, TX). The Dragons go into the 1A Region I District 5 outing with a 13-7 record. In their last outing, Paducah smashed Guthrie (Guthrie, TX), 67-53, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Patton Springs for a 1A Region I District 5 outing on Thursday, January 19. Spur will clash with a Rangers squad coming off a 55-22 league win over Motley County (Matador, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 2-5.
