Ragland Purple Devils (Ragland, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles (Birmingham, AL), 52-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Ragland upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Purple Devils travel to Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 17-4.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Victory Christian Lions (Pell City, AL) in a 1A Area 10 bout, on Thursday, January 19. Jefferson Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 83-25 league loss to Appalachian (Oneonta, AL).
