University Trojans (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Killeen Kangaroos (Killeen, TX), 47-44 in a league bout.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 11-14 on the season. The Trojans host Waco (Waco, TX) to play the Lions in a 5A Region III District 22 bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-17. Waco lost 70-37 in their recent league bout against Ellison (Killeen, TX)

Next up, the Kangaroos play the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, January 20. Killeen will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 19-9 record after their 57-30 league loss to Belton (Belton, TX).
