The Lorenzo Hornets basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Petersburg Buffaloes to 38 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilson for a 1A Region I District 6 contest on Friday, January 20. Lorenzo will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 50-34 league loss to Southland (Southland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-20.

The Buffaloes (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against O'Donnell (O'Donnell, TX). The Eagles enter the 1A Region I District 6 contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, O'Donnell was routed by Lorenzo (Lorenzo, TX), 61-35, in a league contest.
