The Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team (Bakersville, NC), dropped 71-63 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC)

The Patriots now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rosman for a 1A/2A Conference 42 battle on Tuesday, January 24.

The Mountaineers (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses come into the 1A/2A Conference 42 battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Owen dropped by Draughn (Valdese, NC), 54-43, in a league battle.
