In Tuesday's league outing, the Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) basketball squad beat the visiting Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI), by a margin of 66-53.

The Corsairs (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against South Lyon (South Lyon, MI). The Lions go into the Lakes Valley match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, South Lyon was outscored by Lakeland (White Lake, MI), 47-41, in a league match.

With the defeat, Walled Lake Northern moves to 5-5 on the year. The Knights travel to Kettering (Waterford, MI) to meet the Captains in a Lakes Valley match on Friday, January 20. The Captains enter the match with a record of 2-8. Kettering lost 47-29 in their recent league match against Milford (Highland, MI)
