William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 55-42 in a league bout.

With the win, William Campbell upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Generals travel to Riverheads (Staunton, VA) to clash with the Gladiators in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Riverheads won 44-37 in their recent league bout against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA)

Next up, the Governors clash with the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 65-41 league loss to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA).
