The Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Warner Monarchs to 37 in the Wildcats league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roncalli for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Northwestern Area will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 66-33 non-league loss to Clark/Willow Lake (Clark, SD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-4.

The Monarchs (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] (Gettysburg, SD). The Battlers come into the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] was defeated by Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD), 61-58, in a league contest.
