The Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX), 71-68 in Tuesday's league test.

The Dons (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns go into the 5A Region I District 3 test with a 4-19 record. In their last test, Caprock was tipped by Plainview (Plainview, TX), 59-42, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-16 record. They play next when they host Amarillo for a 5A Region I District 3 test on Friday, January 20. Plainview will encounter a Sandies squad coming off a 60-43 league win over Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Sandies record now stands at 24-3.
