The Panther Creek Panthers basketball team (Valera, TX), was nudged 2-0 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Santa Anna Mountaineers (Santa Anna, TX)
The Mountaineers now possess a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Menard for a 1A Region II District 12 battle on Friday, January 20.
The Panthers (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Paint Rock (Paint Rock, TX). The Indians come into the 1A Region II District 12 battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Paint Rock edged Olfen (Rowena, TX), 63-19, in a league battle.
