The Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) basketball knocked off the host Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA), 69-55 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bearcats (19-2) will now prepare for their test against Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Trojans go into the 5A District 2 test with a 15-10 record. In their last test, Alexandria notched a victory over Northwood (Lena, LA), 46-43, in a non-league test.
The Rebels now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to West Ouachita for a 5A District 2 test on Friday, January 20. Pineville will encounter a Chiefs squad coming off a 106-62 league loss to Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-14.
