Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wylie East Raiders (Wylie, TX), 69-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sachse upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Naaman Forest (Garland, TX) to play the Rangers in a 6A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, January 20. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 7-15. Naaman Forest won 56-51 in their recent league bout against Wylie East (Wylie, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the Garland Owls (Garland, TX) in a 6A Region II District 9 bout, on Friday, January 20. Wylie East will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Owls come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 70-54 league loss to Rowlett (Rowlett, TX).
