The Union City Golden Tornadoes basketball team (Union City, TN), was overwhelmed 73-42 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN)
The Hornets now possess a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Obion County for a non-league battle on Friday, January 20. South Gibson will battle a Rebels team coming off a 63-41 non-league loss to Henry County (Paris, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 12-2.
The Golden Tornadoes (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Gibson County (Dyer, TN). The Pioneers come into the 2A District 12 battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Gibson County trounced Westview (Martin, TN), 59-50, in a league battle.
