The Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting South Portland Red Riots to 61 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trojans now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gorham for a AA South contest on Saturday, January 21. Thornton Academy will meet a Rams team coming off a 66-52 league win over Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Rams record now stands at 7-4.

The Red Riots (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Deering (Portland, ME). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Deering was routed by Westbrook (Westbrook, ME), 55-30, in a non-league contest.
