Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Toms River East Raiders (Toms River, NJ), 38-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southern Regional upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Toms River South (Toms River, NJ) to play the Indians in a Shore C - North bout on Thursday, January 19. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 2-10. Toms River South lost 53-19 in their recent non-league bout against Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ)

Next up, the Raiders play the Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ) in a Shore A - South bout, on Thursday, January 19. Toms River East will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 64-52 league loss to Toms River North (Toms River, NJ).
