The Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers basketball team (Newfield, NJ), was nudged 47-42 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Absegami Braves (Galloway, NJ)
The Braves now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mainland Regional for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 19. Absegami will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 53-31 non-league win over Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Newfield, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-2.
The Villagers (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Middle Township (Cape May Court House, NJ). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Middle Township edged Holy Spirit (Absecon, NJ), 61-28, in a non-league battle.
