Academy for Academic Excellence Knights (Apple Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host University Prep Jaguars (Victorville, CA), 42-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Academy for Academic Excellence upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Knights host Apple Valley (Apple Valley, CA) to play the Sun Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Sun Devils go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Apple Valley won 63-43 in their recent league bout against Sultana (Hesperia, CA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Excelsior Charter Eagles (Victorville, CA) in a Cross Valley bout, on Friday, January 20. University Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 23-21 non-league win over Lakeview Leadership Academy (Victorville, CA).
