The University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) basketball crushed the host Academy of the Sacred Heart Gazelles (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 59-26 in Tuesday's league test.

The Knights (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Southfield Christian (Southfield, MI). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Southfield Christian was trounced by Inter-City Baptist (Allen Park, MI), 44-39, in a league test.

The Gazelles now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Notre Dame Prep for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Academy of the Sacred Heart will encounter a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 43-16 non-league loss to Royal Oak (Royal Oak, MI). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 3-8.
