The Dan River Wildcats basketball team (Ringgold, VA), dropped 41-32 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA)
The Colonels now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nelson County for a Dogwood battle on Friday, January 20. Altavista will battle a Governors team coming off a 32-15 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Governors record now stands at 3-7.
The Wildcats (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Dogwood battle with a 13-2 record. In their last battle, Chatham prevailed over Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 56-43, in a non-league battle.
