The Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Anahuac Panthers (Anahuac, TX), 66-27 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cougars (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Kountze (Kountze, TX). The Lions go into the 3A Region III District 22 test with a 25-2 record. In their last test, Kountze walloped Orangefield (Orangefield, TX), 76-31, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Hardin for a 3A Region III District 22 test on Friday, January 20. Anahuac will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 37-36 league loss to East Chambers (Winnie, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 12-9.
