The Appleton East Patriots basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Appleton North Lightning to 44 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.
The Patriots now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Neenah for a Fox Valley contest on Friday, January 20. Appleton East will battle a Rockets team coming off a 62-54 non-league win over Marshfield (Marshfield, WI). The Rockets record now stands at 16-1.
The Lightning (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Kaukauna (Kaukauna, WI). The Galloping Ghosts enter the Fox Valley contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Kaukauna was defeated by Appleton West (Appleton, WI), 46-43, in a league contest.
