Illinois High School Basketball - Islamic Foundation nips Aqsa

Islamic Foundation Chargers (Villa Park, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Aqsa Legends (Bridgeview, IL), 23-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Islamic Foundation upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Chargers host Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family (Downers Grove, IL) to play the in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The come into the bout with a record of 9-2. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family won 28-25 in their recent league bout against Families of Faith Christian Academy (Channahon, IL)

Next up, the Legends play the College Prep of America Thunder (Lombard, IL) in a Metro Prep bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Aqsa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
