The Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE) basketball nipped the host Brady Eagles (Brady, NE), 40-38 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Sandhills Valley (Stapleton, NE). The Mavericks go into the D1 District 11 test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Sandhills Valley got by Arthur County (Arthur, NE), 46-41, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Wallace for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Brady will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 35-23 league loss to Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-8.
