Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX), 51-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brenham upgrades its record to 13-12 on the campaign. The Cubs host A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, January 20. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 14-14. A&M Consolidated won 36-34 in their recent league bout against Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the College Station Cougars (College Station, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 bout, on Friday, January 20. Magnolia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 48-44 league win over Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX).
