The University Phoenix (Newark, NJ) basketball crushed the visiting Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ), 62-27 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Phoenix (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Immaculate Conception (Lodi, NJ). The Blue Wolves go into the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Immaculate Conception walloped Becton (East Rutherford, NJ), 56-42, in a non-league test.
The Chiefs now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to East Orange Campus for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Caldwell will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 80-33 non-league loss to Sparta (Sparta, NJ). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-9.
