Texas High School Basketball - Lindale knocked off by Canton

The Canton Eagles basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Lindale Eagles to 40 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 23-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mabank for a 4A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, January 20. Canton will battle a Panthers team coming off a 55-29 league win over Athens (Athens, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 16-12.
The Eagles (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX). The Knights enter the 4A Region II District 16 contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Cumberland Academy was defeated by Van (Van, TX), 48-26, in a league contest.
