North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy succumbs to Monroe

The Monroe Redhawks topped the host Central Academy Cougars basketball team by a final score of 39-30 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Redhawks face the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 18. Monroe will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Cardinals enter the game with a 8-5 record after their 56-45 league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC).

With the defeat, Central Academy moves to 0-15 on the year. The Cougars travel to Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to face the Wolf Pack in a 2A/3A Conference 44 game on Friday, January 20.
