The Coffeeville Pirates (Coffeeville, MS) basketball felled the visiting Charleston Tigers (Charleston, MS), 48-37 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Houlka (Houlka, MS). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region 4 test with a 2-20 record. In their last test, Houlka was beaten by Bruce (Bruce, MS), 66-32, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Myrtle for a 2A Region 2 test on Friday, January 20. Charleston will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 45-35 league loss to Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 4-15.
