North Carolina High School Basketball - Clayton edges Corinth Holders

The Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) basketball nipped the host Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC), 41-39 in Tuesday's league test.

The Comets (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Rams go into the 4A Conference 26 test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Cleveland was tipped by Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 38-26, in a league test.

The Pirates now own a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Raleigh for a 4A Conference 26 test on Friday, January 20. Corinth Holders will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 38-26 league win over Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-6.
