The Columbia Wildcats basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Ocracoke Dolphins to 38 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bear Grass Charter for a 1A Conference 1 contest on Friday, January 20. Columbia will meet a Bears team coming off a 53-12 non-league loss to John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 8-7.
The Dolphins (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC). The Lakers enter the 1A Conference 1 contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Mattamuskeet was nudged by Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC), 33-13, in a league contest.
