Grangeville Bulldogs (Grangeville, ID) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Council Lumberjacks (Council, ID), 57-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grangeville upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Orofino (Orofino, ID) to play the Maniacs in a 2A Central Idaho bout on Thursday, January 19. The Maniacs come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Orofino won 49-35 in their recent non-league bout against Non Varsity Opponent (, )

Next up, the Lumberjacks play the Cascade Ramblers (Cascade, ID) in a 1A Long Pin bout, on Thursday, January 19. Council will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Ramblers come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 52-25 league loss to Garden Valley (Garden Valley, ID).
