Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), 50-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Cumberland upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Dukes travel to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA) to clash with the Eagles in a James River bout on Friday, January 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-5.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) in a James River bout, on Friday, January 20. Nottoway will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 46-21 league win over Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
