North Carolina High School Basketball - West Caldwell overwhelmed by East Burke

The East Burke Cavaliers basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host West Caldwell Warriors to 25 in the Cavaliers league victory on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Draughn for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. East Burke will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 72-43 league win over Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-6.

The Warriors (0-12) will now prepare for their contest against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils come into the 2A Conference 45 contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Newton-Conover triumphed over Maiden (Maiden, NC), 59-37, in a league contest.
