Spectators at Tuesday's non-league test between the East Grand Rapids Pioneers (Grand Rapids, MI) and the host Lowell Red Arrows (Lowell, MI), witnessed East Grand Rapids's basketball squad topple Lowell by a margin of 49-40.
The Pioneers (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Forest Hills Northern (Grand Rapids, MI). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Forest Hills Northern went down by Byron Center (Byron Center, MI), 82-42, in a non-league test.
The Red Arrows now own a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Christian for a Ottawa-Kent - Gold test on Friday, January 20. Lowell will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 63-34 non-league win over Forest Hills Central (Grand Rapids, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 7-3.
