With the victory, East Wake improves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to confront the Saints in a 3A Conference 21 challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Southern Wayne won 47-39 in their recent league challenge against C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC)

Next up, the Spartans confront the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) in a 3A Conference 21 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Smithfield-Selma will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 45-29 league loss to West Johnston (Benson, NC).
