Fair Lawn Cutters (Fair Lawn, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ), 48-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fair Lawn upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Cutters travel to Westwood (Washington Township, NJ) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Westwood won 55-19 in their recent league bout against Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Passaic County Tech Bulldogs (Wayne, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. West Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 44-19 league win over Clifton (Clifton, NJ).
