Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA), 42-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Peabody upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Warhorses travel to Delta Charter (Ferriday, LA) to clash with the Storm in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Delta Charter won 72-25 in their recent league bout against Tensas (St. Joseph, LA)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) in a 4A District 2 game, on Friday, January 20. Franklin Parish will attempt to move on its 11-2 season record. The Indians enter the game with a 11-10 record after their 50-29 league win over Grant (Dry Prong, LA).
