Virginia High School Basketball - Giles ripped by George Wythe

The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Giles Spartans to 15 in the Maroons league triumph on Tuesday.
The Maroons now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blacksburg for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 18. George Wythe will battle a Bruins team coming off a 60-40 league win over Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 7-7.
The Spartans (0-12) will now prepare for their contest against Auburn (Riner, VA). The Eagles enter the Mountain Empire contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Auburn triumphed over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 50-18, in a league contest.
